Dayspring Discipleship Institute is delighted to offer to the community the prayer chapel and garden for individual enjoyment and spiritual growth. We hope you will feel free to visit the garden any time and the chapel during its open hours. We long for all who have frenzied schedules and hectic lives to be refreshed emotionally, physically and spiritually by the solitude and serenity that waits you here in this place.
No charge or appointment or permission is required for individuals seeking to use the chapel for their personal renewal. The chapel and garden both are Dayspring’s gift to the community. Please come and see and enjoy.
The Prayer Chapel
Nestled in among the trees next to the prayer garden, the Dayspring Community Prayer Chapel is open daily from 9:00 to 5:00 and often remains open beyond its regular hours to individuals seeking a place of solitude and stillness and communion with God.
The chapel is open to churches and other groups for prayer retreats and can be combined with the prayer garden for that purpose.
The chapel (and garden) are also occasionally used for small weddings.

The Community Prayer Garden
Almost four years in the making, Dayspring’s prayer garden is open free of charge to anyone seeking a place of stillness and reflection, of Presence and peace, or personal prayer and solitude. It is designed to be both an instrument of emotional healing and spiritual renewal and growth. It offers an instructive site designed to facilitate a deeply personal journey into prayer that leads to greater intimacy with Christ and a deeper experiencing of His Presence.
Using the natural beauty of an acre lot on Boydstun, several “prayer pockets” are tucked around antique roses and next to the trees that rim the periphery. These pockets include: Riley’s Berm, a living memorial to loved ones who have died; Amy’s Garden, designed to begin the healing journey from childhood sexual abuse and abandonment; the Memorial Garden of the Unborn, honoring aborted or miscarried children and helping those who have miscarried or had abortions come to peace through forgiveness, acceptance and grace. The Path of Peaceconnects these pockets while across the green are The Rock Fountain, the Garden of Gratitude, the Tabernacle Alcoves and, next to the chapel, the Hibiscus Garden. The remaining pages of this section give pictures and details of each of these areas.
Prayer Guide Booklets are provided to assist in the most effective use of the garden and its individual prayer “pockets.”
Brenda and others associated with the Dayspring ministry are available to familiarize individuals or representatives from churches in how best to use the garden. Our desire is for churches in the community to understand the purpose and use of this site so they may utilize it for their members and parishoners.
The garden and chapel both are available to churches and small groups for prayer retreats at pro-rated rates.
