"...The Glorious Liberty of the Children of God..."
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, He has sent me to heal the broken the hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised." Luke 4:18
Christ spoke these words of promise and destiny as He publicly presented Himself at His home synagogue in Nazareth following His wilderness ordeal and proclamed Himself to be the actual fulfillment of these prophetic words of Isaiah. Christ came to give us life - both eternal and abundant. Our faith in Him as Savior seals our eternal destiny. It is in the principles He has left us that we discover the keys to a winged life.
It is not just freedom from the tatters and tears that attend life on this planet but freedom within them. Though personal inner healing can, and sometimes does, come through a miraculous wave of a Divine arm, it rests only upon those few who receive its blessing. God's principles are teachable, transferable concepts that make his healing and interior liberation available to all who would dare to believe in them and apply them to their lives.
The links below take you to other pages on this site that carry articles on the winged life available to those who believe and the laws, or principles, for flight.
"You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." John 8:32 "The Word did not profit them because it was not mixed with faith." Hebrews 4:2
Truth and Faith are the twin wings - or principles - for personal freedom. They are inseparable; the one will not work without the other. The freedom that truth brings can only come with knowing it. The Greek work for "know" means a deep heart knowing. Head knowledge of truth does not liberate. Only when the heart believes what is true will freedom establish itself in the life of the believer.
If it is the Truth that sets us free, then the converse is true: wherever we are in personal bondage it is because we are believing something to be true that is not true. What the heart believes governs our life. If it believes the Truth, it brings freedom to our soul. If it believes a lie, it imprisons the soul.
Faith does us no good if we are believing a lie. Truth does us no good if we don't believe it.
The Winged Life offers spiritual and Scriptural principles that unlock God's ways in our lives, facilitate His healing of our broken places and His liberation for our captive souls.
